Circuit Bending
is a term for modifying, hacking, or "bending" consumer electronics usually to create new kinds of electronic musical instruments. it's a very quick and immediate kind of hacking, that has developed into a whole field of experimental music.

Bring Circuits: something electronic that makes noise. Electronic toys, like toy guitars or keyboards, speak 'n' spells, voice changers toys, things that have voice chips, laser blast sounds, animals, etc. Just one rule: BATTERY POWER ONLY! Circuit bending involves a highly scientific process of randomly poking wires into open, powered-up electronics, so NOTHING that plugs into the wall, that uses large batteries, or has large capacitors, like a TV.
